Rather than actually depicting one or several bulbs, a series of glowing, contented faces could be the watts that make up a single bulb. Like a small army or collective of light.' ![]() Natural Light - 'I wanted to make something cosmic but still visually dense, so I chose stars. The fact that constellations are mostly products of our own imagination and perception made it even more interesting. It relates to the computer as this portal for you to create things as you wish to see them, or see thousands of things that weren't necessarily visible to you before.' ![]() Sources of Illumination/Epiphany - 'The more I conjugated the theme, the more I began playing with illumination 'within' -or- epiphanies. I tried to categorize epiphanies throughout history, which became pointless since anything can be the trigger for profound insight. You can be staring at a rabbit or eating macaroni when something suddenly becomes clear. This painting became a stream-of-consciousness game.' ![]() Conversations on the Science of Light - 'I wanted to address the science that created our ability to harness and create light every day. After reading about the many people credited with contributing to the invention of the modern light bulb, I narrowed it down to 5 (Nikola Tesla, Joseph Swan, Alexander Lodygin, John Richardson Wisham, Thomas Edison).
